It is important to have a stove that is the right size for the room it is going into. Too big can be just as bad as too small. It is often better to have a smaller stove working hard than to have a larger one that is just chugging away.
This calculator will give you the approximate size in kilowatts of the stove that is right for your room. It is not an exact result and should be taken as a guide only. Many other factors, such as the number of windows, double glazing, cavity wall insulation, wood quality, central heating and personal preference will also affect the size required.
